Oriana Jubin specialises in family law, cohabitation and inheritance law.
After obtaining her law degree, Oriana Jubin completed a master’s degree (LL.M) in international humanitarian law and human rights. She then worked at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Law in the Civil Law Department as a research and teaching assistant in family and inheritance law, estate planning and sports law.
Oriana Jubin decided to focus on the legal issues involved in cohabitation and, more specifically, the lack of legal status for unmarried couples – the subject of her doctoral thesis.
Dr Jubin went on to become an associate in a law firm specialising in family law before co-founding ONLEGAL and then JG Partners.
Her academic experience and legal practice have enabled her to develop cutting-edge expertise in her chosen fields. Widely recognised for her expertise, Dr Jubin is regularly instructed by other lawyers to provide legal opinions in connection with Swiss and foreign proceedings. She is also called upon by her peers to collaborate on complex cases.
Oriana Jubin provides her clients with a human approach to family law issues such as separation, divorce, inheritance, estate planning and related matters. EXPERIENCES
Gilles Giacca specialises in national and international litigation, with fifteen years’ experience in institutional, diplomatic and judicial circles. He practises law in civil, criminal and administrative matters.
His practice focuses on criminal law and economic crime (for victims and alleged perpetrators of offences), international mutual assistance in criminal and administrative matters, contract law, debt collection and bankruptcy law, immigration law, the law of associations (in particular for non-governmental organisations), as well as the protection of fundamental rights.
Dr Giacca studied law at universities in Geneva and Fribourg. After obtaining his doctorate from the University of Geneva, he worked as a research and teaching fellow at Oxford University’s famed Law School. He then worked for international organisations, particularly in the field of new technologies and cybersecurity, before joining a Geneva-based law firm specialising in international arbitration. He worked as a law clerk at the Criminal Court of the Canton of Geneva while completing his training in criminal law and prosecution.
Gilles Giacca is the author of numerous books and articles on legal doctrine.
